“I had a server to go down about 3 weeks ago. I was using the Axcient Business Backup plan that I acquired through Artis Networks. I called Steve Cothron to make sure that we could restore some files that I needed. Steve set up a remote support session to my computer and walked me through the Axcient restore process and actually let me do the driving of the mouse and keyboard while he watched. The restore worked flawlessly. Later that day I called Steve again after finding out that our loan software company data was SQL. The loan software company told me that we would not likely have the data backed up. Axcient did have the data files and log files backed up and ready to restore. I was really impressed that my SQL data was there and accessible for restore. The loan software company was also impressed since they see so many companies that are not properly backing up their SQL data.
The people that support the server that went down installed a new memory module and the server came back up and thus we did not have to restore the SQL loan data, but we were prepared and the data was there!”
